Santos Romero Oseguera waited seven years to see his son. The 39-year-old has worked as a landscaper since arriving in the United States in 1998.
On meager wages he managed to save $6,000 for a bus ticket that brought his son from Honduras in search of a better life.
The reunion was brief and tragic. Santos Gabriel Oseguera, 20, was shoveled out of a snow bank near Chelsea City Hall by public works employees Tuesday. The Suffolk District Attorney's Office said the younger Oseguera had left a house party during the blizzard early Sunday morning and never made it home.
