Protests by transportation workers, due to the increase of oil prices, and by students against the high cost of life continue amid a new announcement of an electric tariff rise.
There have been clashes in different points of this capital between drivers of urban buses and the population that refuses to pay 3.00 cordobas ($0.18 US) charged illegally by the managers.
Others are also pressuring, but maintain the official tariff of 2.50 ($0.15 US), waiting for the government to declare itself in favor of a demand for subsidy to alleviate the cost of fuels, which have set several historic records in the last ten days.
