 Do you know who chooses the artist of the month of certain sites? If you do, please share the secret, but if not, chances are that you’ve been wondering about the process, just like me. GarifunaMusic.net is here to give you the power to choose the artist of the month.
Sites like Garinet.com had an “artist of the month” section about four years ago. It just so happened that the selection of the artist was so unfair to fans that the section had to be taken down.
A particular music artist may have many fans that follow him, and allowing one single individual to select the “artist of the month” without consulting with the fans, could lead to bias results. What if you as a fan, prefers to have your favorite artist, as the artist of the month, but the one person making the decision prefers to have someone else that he likes more? We can clearly see the conflict of interest and how your input as a fan could be undermined.
As a fan, it is only fair that you are given the option to have a say in selecting the artist of the month and GarifunaMusic.net provides you with that ultimate power.
The way it works is very simple. All you have to do is follow these easy three steps:
1. http://www.garifunamusic.net
2. Select your favorite artist from the “Choose your artist of the month” polls located on the right hand side
3. Click on “Vote” and you are done
At the beginning of the following month all the results will be analyzed and the artist that gets the most votes, as determined by you, the fan, will be the “artist of the month.”
In addition, we can arrange to schedule your favorite artist to the chat room so that you can chat live with them.

Jorge has served as vice-president of former New York-based, Garifuna youth organization, Lileiti Dufigati, has been the president to Los Angeles-based, Garifuna organization, SONHOCA, and holds membership with various Garifuna organizations, such as Wafadaha Uwara, and national technology organizations, such as ACM and IEEE. Jorge has donated his time to lecture classes about Computer & Internet usage for Garifuna organizations like, MUGAMA.
