Twenty Hispanic countries will be represented in the first Cry for Independence Day Parade in Green Bay on Thursday. Organizers expect more than 2,000 spectators will line Irwin Avenue from its intersection with Harvey Street to Bay Beach Amusement Park.
Thursday's parade, falling on the anniversary of Mexico's independence on Sept. 16, 1821, will celebrate the days of independence for all 20 countries represented in the parade.
Emelina Bebeau, a native Honduran, is co-coordinating the float for her home country.
