Smaller candy bars are being cited as evidence of a good faith effort from that nation's food and drink industry to reduce portion sizes, part of a larger effort to head off government regulators who might be looking to impose solutions to a British obesity epidemic.
The danger, from where I sit (within reach of my candy jar), is that this will become part of some trend that somebody will try to export next to the United States, seeing as how we have a little obesity problem here of our own.
