Ten men were in custody in connection with the massacre of 28 people on a bus in northern Honduras, authorities said on Sunday.
Police spokesperson Wilmer Torres said that one of the suspects, a 23-year-old member of the youth gang Mara Salvatrucha, had confessed to involvement in the shooting. The other men were still being interrogated.
Gunmen used two cars to block the bus before opening fire with AK- 47s and M-16 rifles on Thursday evening in San Pedro Sula, a city 250km north of Tegucigalpa. In addition to the dead, 14 people were wounded.
