It's time again!
Towanda resident Steve Davenport is getting ready for his annual work trip to Honduras.
Again, he'll pack his luggage and fly all the way to the tropics. Again, he'll lift and carry and work. Again, he'll sweat.
And again, he'll come home happy.
Every February, the Monroe-Franklin School fourth-grade teacher joins a group called "Operation Honduras" and travels to the Central American country for a construction project helping the needy. They do it for free.
We don't always get chances to help others, he believes. "When you find an opportunity ... you have to jump at it."
And Honduras needs the help.
