Central American Presidents Relax Borders |

Prensa Latina, Cuba
Presidents from Nicaragua, Honduras and El Salvador are meeting Tuesday at Guasaule border post in a ceremony to open common borders and eliminate migratory and customs restrictions.
The Guatemalan president -another member of the Central America Four (CA4) group- will not participate because the country´s law does not allow him to leave the country while the vice president is away.
Nicaraguan and Honduran customs and immigration agents will share the same cross-border control office located on the Honduran side. The same system will be applied on the border between Guatemala and El Salvador as part of joint integration efforts in the region, also including the creation by June of a passport valid in all Central American countries.
