Los Angeles - A US judge on Wednesday refused to lower the $1m bail for a woman accused of stalking and threatening Oscar-winning actress Catherine Zeta-Jones.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge David Mintz rejected a request by Dawnette Knight's lawyers to release her on her own recognisance saying the bail amount was "appropriate" for the offences with which she is charged.
The judge noted that Knight was accused of threatening the British-born star "over an extended period of time" and cited the potential prison sentence of 19 years she faces if convicted.
