Both, the band and their label Warner, refuse to arrive at a compromise or an agreement. The band’s management company - the ‘Firm’ said the band wanted to end their contract with Warner as they felt Warner’s resources have diminished, as a result of which Warner would find it tougher to compete in today’s global music marketplace. More specifically, they fear that Warner will not strongly market their next album.
The ‘Firm’ appears confident of making Warner yield as they say other Warner acts were likely to support them in this labor dispute.
