Dear Friends,
Please join us as we celebrate Garinagu Empowerment Movement's (GEM) 5th Annual
Garífuna Day Street Festival on Saturday April 9th in South Los Angeles on Avalon
Boulevard, between 41st Street and 43rd Street.
Also, we cordially invite you to join us and Councilwoman Jan Perry on Friday April
8, 2005 at 9:30 am, in the City Council Chambers in City Hall, as we officially
announce the commencement of the 5th Annual Garífuna Day Street Festival. The Los
Angeles City Council will be presenting a resolution supporting GEM and Garífuna
Day.
To reserve your free parking at City Hall, please call (213) 473-7009 and mention
the Garífuna Day Street Festival.  Be ready to give the car's make and model,
license plate, and driver's name.
