Researchers in California have managed to turn off the MYC gene and thus allowing liver cancer cells to revert to being healthy. MYC is an oncogene, it is activated in liver tumors. This experiment, carried out on mice, could mean that one day liver cancer in humans may be stopped in its tracks and reversed, turning cancer cells into normal ones.
