You probably already heard of the "I Love You"
virus roaming around the net since last Thursday. To put us
all in synch, this is a virus that is transmitted by email.
More precisely if your are using the email client "Microsoft
outlook."
The virus is usually transmitted in an attachment sent by someone
to you. When you open the attachment, that's when it hits
you. According to sources, the virus corrupts pictures (in
jpg format) and music (MP3) files.
The story is just getting worst. It seems like they have detected
13 variants or other viruses with the same or worse effect.
Whatever you do, make sure to carefully and cautiously scan your
email for attachments prior to opening any attachment. Remember
a computer virus doesn't know your friends or relatives, therefore,
there is no sympathy in it to be transmitted by one of the above
