Seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher, so dominant here in 2004, was back in 12th, two places ahead of Ferrari teammate Rubens Barrichello. Barrichello is coming off a second place in Australia, where he was closing in on Fisichella at the end and holding off Alonso.
