TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras (Reuters) - Honduras, one of the poorest countries in Latin America, is set to receive $1.8 billion in aid to fight poverty, Finance Minister Arturo Alvarado told Reuters on Friday.



The aid will come from international credit organizations and donor nations including the United States, Germany, France, Spain, Japan, Italy and Britain, and will be paid out between 2004-2006, Alvarado said.
