As well as having big names like John Travolta and Jennifer Lopez, the producers have apparently been courting Luke Wilson for Patrick Duffy's old part of Bobby Ewing, and to play the part of Miss Ellie Ewing, once portrayed by Barbara Bel Geddes, will most likely be Shirley MacLaine. 20th Century Fox has slated director Robert Luketic to work on this film, which may provide the reason for J.Lo's appearance in the cast. Luketic and Jennifer Lopez worked together on Monster-in-Law. Luketic also has the Reese Witherspoon movie, Legally Blonde, on his résumé.
