MTV took Beenie out of the line up after South Florida gay activists announced that they would protest Saturday's concert due to anti-gay lyrics on "Queers Must Be Killed." In recent weeks, Beenie Man was also removed from concerts in Europe and New York. Though he has defended his lyrics in the past, Beenie recently apologized for past songs like "Bad Man Chi Chi Man" (Bad Man, Queer Man).
