A fighter losing a couple of bouts doesn't mean he should hang it up. As HBO's Jim Lampley observed, there's no reason, ring-wise, that Oscar De La Hoya should quit despite his loss last weekend to Bernard Hopkins. De La Hoya was knocked out by a perfectly placed body shot.
The concern should be that Saturday was Jones' second straight knockout. Like any other injury, boxing folks will tell you that once a fighter has been knocked out, it's easier for it to happen again.
