Just one day after the late Ray Charles' last studio album 'Genius Loves Company' swept the Grammy Awards with 8 posthumous honors, a recording studio engineer filed a breach of contract lawsuit in Los Angeles claiming he was denied proper credit and shut out of those awards, according to one of his lawyers.
The engineer whose name is Mark Fleming sued record label Concord Music Group and Ray Charles Enterprises, which administers the Ray Charles' business interests, alleging breach of oral contract and negligent misrepresentation.
Mark Fleming’s lawyers filed the lawsuit on Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court, just three days before Ray Charles' last album won eight Grammys, three of which Fleming's suit suggests he should have shared credit for.
