The Nets, however, were one of the league's hottest teams late in the season, winning 15 of their last 19 games to claim the No. 8 seed for the Eastern Conference playoffs. They'll bring a confident air into Miami on for the start of the best-of-seven quarterfinals.
"We won't take any team lightly," Heat center Shaquille O'Neal said. "We know teams are going to be playing way above their heads when they play us. They're going to be shooting the ball well. They're going to be very excited. We'll just have to match their energy and be ready. And we will be ready."
