The Garifuna, Ecolastico Arzu AKA Nallito burned in a car crash and jump off the
Tappan Zee Bridge. According to Murphy Valentine, from Centro America Show,
Ecolastico Arzu, was traveling home from upstate New York, with Angel Norales when
their car stopped around the Tappan Zee Bridge in White Plains, NY. Allegedly an
tractor-trailer hit their car from behind.
It is not clear at this moment whether Mr. Arzu was inside the car when the truck hit the car, or outside looking to see what was wrong with it. When he saw the car catching fire after the hit, however, it seems that he ran towards it to try to save the driver, Angel Norales. His attempt to save the driver resulted in him catching fire himself. According to sources he jumped off to the bridge to save himself from burning further.
Tragically, Mr. Norales died at the scene of the accident at the age of 41. Mr. Arzu, 44, was rescued and taken to Westchester Hospital in stable conditions.
