Nicaragua registers an AIDS case per day, which is alarming if compared to data from 2000, when three or four cases were reported per month, according to the National Anti-AIDS Fight Commission.
The commission presented its report before Parliament and claimed it lacked the special funds established by the law to assist AIDS carriers.
National Assembly member, physician Enrique Beteta, said they continued working, and received reports by people who were expelled from work because they were HIV positive.
