Half a dozen protesters picketed outside a downtown Burger King yesterday in support of workers fired from the fast food chain's restaurants in Honduras. The protest, organized in Winnipeg by an anti-sweatshop group, coincided with similar events in 15 U.S. cities.
"There are workers all over the world who have been treated badly and workers want to stand in solidarity with each other," said Jennifer deGroot of No Sweat Manitoba.
