Daniel Ortega, leader of the Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN), reiterated his party"s anti-imperialist essence on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the killing of Nicaraguan patriot Augusto Cesar Sandino.
The FSLNīs secretary general added that the movement founded by Carlos Fonseca Amador in 1962 will never give up its anti-imperialist principles or commitment to the poor.
"To those who say theyīre militants of our party, I want to hear them say they condemn Yankee imperialism for its aggressions against Nicaragua and its crimes against Cuba. I want to hear them say they support the Iraqi people", Ortega said before thousands of people gathered in the park of his hometown, 31 miles south of Managua.
